clear water dream that I wish I remembered you all were there clear water wakes the yellow fade of yesterday you may proceed clear water dream and you slept like surrender while I was up all night clear water wakes, parts the waves and starts the day you may proceed a little taken off the top a little lion on the floor a little message to the cries you've been hearing like a roar a little fault beneath your step a little broken treasure chest reveals a pattern in the mess living for the rest you've got a lot to leave behind a lot to learn in time now you're holding on tight to your eyes tied.

could never be like this spiral reminisce burgundy and brick could never smile like this friction's hidden fits burgundy and brick and once you start again, safely holding hands bright but not a chance and once the target ran, sullen in his hands bright but not a chance all light for memory, some like sympathy do we all agree? could never be like this spiral reminisce burgundy and brick could never smile like this friction's hidden fits burgundy and brick

our world was smaller than it seemed a stack of dirty magazines locked in a car behind our house it's all we had to live without in our lean years our fear was cornered and contained we dyed our hair and changed our names threw glances at the river bend made fun of how we could pretend that our game was up don't say it didn't mean a thing we passed out cold and woke up mean our state of calm begins to crack you'll be the first i'll be the last to leave i heard you moved to tennessee picked up to find yourself a scene i'm living hard but i'm alive you're all I have to live without in my lean years have mercy on us...

When we’re leaning on a wall the weight of all the suddenness, the lights of Montreal throwing all the keys away, I know not where you lay Je ne sais pas pourquoi Then the veil of trust dissolved cooked it in the humid heat, the lights of Montreal Everyone is whispering, I know not what they say Je sais que vous savez Please, spare me all the calls turn around the car toward the lights of Montreal sounding our apologies until we all agree je suis vraiment désolé Build me up, tear me down pick one reason to bow out write it down, then rip it up that’s no way to earn our trust

My memory begs for a break tables all the messages Makers mark by the new parade For a long, rising plain, to be paved and raised again Busy men with their busy friends The theft of weight, nothing saved thousands say the words today Figure 8 all across LA Gather up another round searcher’s lost, missing’s found everyone was here
9.
I was a maniac under protection in line for the daily disease the Angeles Crest was a highway of cinders, some arsonists angry release So we see how I lied I saw a photograph hung from the ceiling, a portrait of my family my quiet intention, left for the city, my duty in hope's reverie So we see how I lied

I’m all out of ideas now I’ll just ride the airplanes out to the top of monuments skyline hides the rest of it now she appears with an attitude bag of books and the lovely truth she made my day when I learned her name she split the fog when she flew away city of fountains, all of a sudden trapped in her marvelous plan city of fountains we walked across the city in the sky, then we watched it pass us by oh why are you here? oh why are you here? oh why… To pull me into you, to draw a scene for two to scale the monuments to throw me for a loop?

There is a look, from which it brings a patient word, one thousand wings until a wind crept up to blame all broken up in tiny flames there is a book from which we sing a lonely song, one thousand wings tell them to run, tell them to hide inside a star, over the tide There is a stone from which is brings a weeping eye, one thousand wings gathering clouds run past your door without a sound, the sky will pour a thought to keep, from which we sing a simple song, one thousand wings tell them to run, tell them to hide inside a star, over the tide

Don't Move one inch cause I may not see you again just hold that pose, for memory, for posterity my friend, we've had a million and a half words between one pole, one post, some support in the land we agreed is so obscene And I wonder just how you will fare all summed up with sand in your hair feeding upon culture's hand all part of our plan So go on, do well, win it for the hometown crowd just don't come around empty handed with a habit or two cause we always said we'd be more than that town would let us be so go on, branch out, branch till the leaves all fall down

The Revised 04:26
we have always tried to make a little money on the side selling off our minds little pieces at a time we do not see this to live without a chance to be remiss we do not see fit to stand around and dwell on all this shit The Revised Reveals a song Once or Twice Until we know that we belong let the glory go let it run away just like before just a little sore summer on the road we found the door the echo's timing's right we listen to it roll from side to side underneath the sky halfway around the world

about

This record is about all the old friends we haven't seen in a while. We tried to capture the dream-like, nostalgic subjects of these songs with layers of sounds we hadn't used before on previous releases. We think this is an evolution for us and we hope you enjoy it.
